Who Can Apply

  • Aged 21–55
  • Valid university degree
  • Minimum USD 3,000/month income (USD 36,000/year)
  • Work exclusively for non-Turkish employers or clients
  • Employment contract or freelance agreement
  • International health insurance (minimum USD 30,000 coverage)
  • Citizen of one of the 43 eligible countries (USA, Canada, EU, UK, Australia, Japan, UAE, and more)

Required Documents

  • Valid passport (6+ months beyond intended stay)
  • University diploma with apostille or notarized translation
  • Employment contract or freelance client agreement (English/Turkish)
  • Bank statements (3–6 months showing income)
  • International health insurance certificate (min. USD 30,000)
  • Employer letter confirming remote work arrangement
  • 2 recent biometric passport photos
  • Completed visa application form

Application Process

Prepare your documents

Gather all required documents. Diploma and contracts may need apostille certification or notarized translation. Allow 1–2 weeks.

Book a consulate appointment

Apply at the Turkish consulate or embassy in your home country. Book 2–4 weeks in advance as appointments fill up.

Submit application in person

Attend your appointment. Pay the visa fee: USD 160 (single entry) or USD 190 (multiple entry). Processing: 10–15 business days.

Fly to Turkey

You have 90 days from visa issuance to enter Turkey. Arrive with all original documents.

Register upon arrival

Within 20 days of arrival, register at the Provincial Migration Directorate for your short-term residence permit (ikamet card). This is mandatory.
